not trying to be ignorant but they didn't have anything like this when I had kids. I am trying to help a young woman who is pregnant and needs everything. Is this the pillow you use for breast feeding? Thank you for your help.

Yes, that's right, breastfeeding and so much more!. It just makes it more convenient for mom to help prop the baby in a comfortable position and it is also used to place baby in while on the floor and helps keep them propped up while encircled in it as well as a lot of other creative uses! It could also be used to support the belly while sleeping on your side while still pregnant or propping mom's head up while nursing in side laying positions. I didn't know half the stuff I could of used it for, lol. From the Boppy site- "The recommended uses for the Boppy® Pillow are for feeding – nursing and bottle feeding, propping, tummy time and sitting. As noted on the product and the packaging, we do not recommend using the Boppy® Pillow for sleeping."
