These earrings seem southwest to me---they are so pretty with the long green stone --I am not sure what it is
and the hammered type silver at the top of the earring

Is the silver tarnished or rubbed off on the back of the earrings?

great question! I took a silver polishing cloth to the back of the earring and was able to rub off all the tarnish---I will try and post a picture of this.
