The Animorphs / Megamorphs science fiction book series by K. A. Applegate has been described as "X-Files for kids".

These books are published by Scholastic Press and are chapter books designed for kids 9 and up (or younger if Mom and Dad approve!). The books cost 4.99 new in the late 90s.

Included in this auction are two of my favorites:

Animorphs Megamorphs #2 "In the Time of the Dinosaurs". Published in 1998. Close up of back cover includes book summary in photo #4. This is the second book of the Megamorph special editions. Longer and more in-depth story than an original Animorph books.

Animorphs #27 "The Exposed". Published in 1999. Enhanced back cover is seen in photo #8. This book is cool because it has a 2-layer cover and has a flip-book style image on the bottom of every page that transforms from a person to octopus as you read.

These books are in great shape considering they are 15 years old. No dog ears pages, no front cover or spine wear, etc. There is one small spot on the back of the Megamorph book. The light black line you see on the long end is an optical illusion from the lines on the start of each new chapter pages.
