how many of the fruit bear a seed? do I need 2 (or more) trees for pollination, or is it a male and female needed? how tall do these trees generally get ? thanks, I have only seen the small Japanese types out here, they are self fruitful for the most part.

Pretty sure they're mostly dioecious (need another tree of the other sex to get anything); though they frequently have both sexes on the same tree when they're younger, that tends to go away as they age,.
Every fruit I picked had 3-5 seeds. This tree was by itself., Most persimmons here grow to 20 feet or so generally.
