I am not a computer engineer I can NOT help you install this, I only know that when I hook it up using my remote cable and go to computer devices it shows up as a healthy parcel but doesn't show up when I go to my computer, it's in eFat format this is AS IS since I am not a computer person. It is 160gig SATA LAPTOP hard drive. I would google concerns that you may have for installing this.
