30+ Organic Heirloom Delicata Squash Seeds

Delicata Squash is also known as Bohemian squash, sweet potato squash because of its flavor, or peanut squash because of its shape. The 7-9 inch long, 4 inch wide fruit have fine-textured, light orange flesh that is delicious.

Delicata Squash is tender and sweet, and it's my favorite winter squash. It roasts beautifully in the oven, and I just read that Delicata squash seeds are delicious roasted as well. (I'll have to try that this summer!)

Harvest and enjoy earliest fruit, save later maturing fruit for winter storage. Gather before frost leaving part of stem attached. Delicata squash keeps well can be stored for up to 3 months.

I agree. My favorite squash are Delicata, and just roasting and eating good pie pumpkin as squash too.

I realized pumpkin was in the squash family after I started looking---(I mean drooling!) over my Heirloom Seed catalogs (of which I have many!) lol.I ate the Delicata last year from my local Farmers market and I even had it for breakfast that's how tasty it is! They're just the right size for one person too!

Wow! That sounds great! Adding ginger to it would probably make it even more delicious! I had vegetarian Butternut squash soup at a local veggie restaurant here called Saturn and it was scrumptious--- I imagine that would be true for Delicata squash soup!

Oh, ginger sounds good. I'll have to try that. I usually use chicken broth, nutmeg, sea salt and a bit of white pepper. And if I'm feeling extravagant I'll top it off with a tablespoon or two of cream just before I serve it.
