The listing, Gold Hoop Earrings (not costume jewelry) has ended.

These vintage gold hoops are from the 1980s. I bought them new back then and haven't worn them a lot. They are well made and in great shape. The hoops are a nice size; smaller than a quarter (see pictures) but not tiny. They have the pretty patina of old gold and are a classic earring that will go with anything.

There are tiny markings on each earring near where the earwire goes in to secure the earring. I am still trying to read them. I would guess 10K-

I am assuming solid (although the hoops are hollow inside; made like tiny tubes shaped into circles). Besides, I would think that plating would have started to rub in spots after all of these years. I wish I could read the tiny markings. I have tried every magnifying glass in the house, but these old eyes just aren't what they used to be.

70s and 80s era items are showing up as "vintage" now- It hurts getting old, doesn't it? :) Just think, 1980 is was 31 years ago; and to think it seems like it was just the other day. LOL
