Are these beads plastic & is the color a midnight blue? This is a very pretty set!

The color is black. I don't think they're plastic...they seem heavier than plastic. I'm not sure what they are though. The black varies in color--almost looks like a shaving from a natural black stone or something (although I'm sure thats not the case). But its very pretty--the pictures do not do it justice.
