My kids still love this! Its a Disney character treasure. Lovely soothing music, and babies and toddlers, and kids of all ages can play w/it too! :)

Does this connect to the crib?

No, its able to be positioned anywhere near baby. To turn it on, you unvelcro the bottom and select the time length - the secure back, then press the yellow star once, then you can use the remote to adjust the volume, and music settings. Hopes this helps.:)
