Description

The listing, <> 5 VINTAGE JAPANESE PLATES <> has ended.

You are bidding on a set of 5 hand painted little Japanese china plates perfect for desert, or display on your wall. These plates have a ton of very fine detailed painted Japanese ladies, flowers, scenery and nice little scalloped rims trimmed in red. They are very delicate and you can actually see through them when held up to the light, a true mark of fine china. They measure 6 inches across and are Stamped "Made in Japan" in red paint on the backs. these are from around the 30's, a few tiny places where paint has worn away on edges, and a few ever so slight chips on a few of them barely noticible and in remarkably great shape! Please check out my other auctions for lots of great items, fan me and I will fan you back, and Happy bidding!

ForTheofVintage, I went back and took a second look at the plates. Yes there are a few ever so slight chips on a few of the plates. there not the sharp kind of chips, rather smooth, I am thinking because of use and not abuse. I didn't see any cracks. They honestly aren't noticible due to all the color and designs on them. They measure 6 inches across. I have used them with cobalt blue plates, red plates and white plates, also as desert plates and people always comment on how beautiful they are. Hope this helps you :)

would you please show a picture of all of them together - it would help to have individual pictures of each plate due to the damage or slight chips to which you are referring - I would like to bid, but until I can see all of them, I'm quite hesitant to do so Thank you so much for your time.

Do sorry ladies , I went in to add more pictures for you and they wouldn't let me because the auction is almost over :( but I can tell you that 2 of the plates are perfect, the other 3 have very small chips mire like scrapes along the edges and not sharp. Actually , if it bothered you you could easily touch it up with a red permanent marker as they ate very slight . Hope this helps :)
