Description

The listing, 22" real14k gold link chain. stamped 14k Italy has ended.

22 inch chain stamped 14k Italy. beautiful chain. This was a gift from my ex girlfriend. I kbow it was very expensive as she made excellent money in her "dancing" career. weighs 27 grams or 17.4 dwt. market price is around $65 dwt. making the value around $675. loved this and now cant stand the sight. cant wait for it to be gone. in the event it doesn't go in the auction I will not relist this item and will take it to my local jeweler to sell it. bid high and often. thanks for checking it out!

I'm confused...since the price of gold has never dropped, how could this chain be worth $675 as you mentioned in the description but in a response to another $1000 was paid for this??? To be honest, this chain looks 14 k plated, not solid gold, which are also marked exactly liked this.

I know it was pirchased fron a reputable national chain store...I dont think im allowed to say the name....the spot price of 14k gold is around $65 a gram. it is almost impossible to buy it that inexpensively especially when purchasing jewelry that has to be manufactued using raw materials that cost the dealer around the spot price. just to make it easy a jewelery dealer wants to sell a necklace that is 10 grams. They pay around 650 for the material maybe 100 to make it. the jewelers cost is now around 750. the jeweler can not sell things for the same thing the bought it for so they mark the price up...generally between 10 and 50 percent depending on there overhead... client relationship...and size of purchase meaning that in order for the jeweler to stay in business and for them to be able to feed there children they would generally charge between
825 and 1125. get it? really not that hard of a concept. im hoping this concept is not new for you. whatever you do dont let your boss at McDonald's know that you dont understand this concept...im sure your minimum wage job is important to you and necessary to your survival

I've never seen gold looking like silver underneath. Gold never wears period or reacts with oxygen and always holds a yellow or orange yellow tone. If I were you I would get it tested at a local jeweler or pawn shop just to be safe. Good luck!
