This is an American Frontier Buffalo/Indian Head Nickel Set.

Includes six Buffalo Nickels dated 1935, 36, 37, 38 and others have no date.

These pieces are known as Buffalo, Bison, or Indian Head Nickels. James E. Fraser designed these Nickels using 3 different Native Americans as models.

The Bison was modeled after "Black Diamond" in the. NewYork Zoological Gardens.

Each Nickel weighs 5 grams

Composition: 750 Copper .250 Nickel
