Hello, I never owned the gaming system so I'm not positive as to which Leapfrog games go to which. I'm thinking it must work with LeapPad; not sure about Leapster?

Hello, thank you for your interest. I'm not sure if it works on the Leapster. Is the Leapster different than the LeapPad? Were you able to view the photo of the game in this ad? Please let me know the exact item you have and I'll do an internet search to find out if it takes this type of game.

does this come with the book? as the cartridge does no good with out he book and vise versa

No, it doesn't come with the book but I have found free instructions to print out online.

Hello, thank you for your interest in the game. I do not have the manuals for any of the LeapFrog (3 games) I have listed here. You can find free downloads of the manuals online. Put in a search for "free manuals LeapFrog LeapPad" "free instructions LeapFrog LeapPad" and I'm sure you'll find it for the Superman game.
If you need help with the search I can assist you with that tomorrow as I'm very busy today.
