My hubby had eye surgery due to a bungy cord breaking and detaching his retina, etc., and these being shatterproof would make ME breathe a lot easier... :)

Yes they definitely are shatterproof and they have the UA protection all that kinda good stuff its got the soft rubber things for the nose and the part that goes around the ears are very soft
