TY :) We used this only one year, then we got kittens. That was the end of our Christmas Village Days....LOL. We boxed the villages up and they have sat in a box for a few years. It's such a waste, so I thought I'd share them. I can barely handle a Christmas tree with with my cats :)

I know just what your saying , I have 2 cats myself. here's a funny story you ya. one year I was placing up our x-mas tree and one of our dogs thought it was real, he started to lift his leg well, you can guess what happened next. I wanted to yell & say NO Oliver but all I could do was laugh. if the tree fooled him than I guess we bought a good one !! the cleaning up was not fun. have a wonderful day !!!:{)

LOL! We had to get a small tree and put it on a table because our cats climb big trees. When I had my dog, she would unwrap the presents and eat the candy canes off the tree. Crazy, but they are so worth it :) Have a lovely day!

Oh my goodness, I had not been feeling good today and just reading all your stories had just made me feel some better by making me laugh about those silly cat/dogs stories. I inherited a Santa snoring while sleeping from my parents, this year I got it out and my 3 year old miniature dachshund got scared of it and stayed behind my legs. Gotta love them Christmas stories with all those animals involved. My mother bought me my first set of village in my late 20's and now that she has passed I would love to try to get these to add on, but who ever gets them I know will enjoy them. God Bless and Merry CHRISTmas.

Aww that's so cute. I used to have a Dachshund! Yeah, Christmas is an exciting time of the year for our cats. They climb inside the tree and look out at me, they sleep under it and knock all my decorations off. Just adorable...LOL. My Mom passed away in February, so this is my first Christmas without her. It's really sad, but I know she'd be upset with me if I didn't have a nice Christmas. I'm trying. The cats keep us all laughing. Good luck on the bidding and I hope you feel better!

Can you give approx. dimensions of a few of the houses, and figurines, please? I was wondering if they would go with my Dept. 56 'Snow Village' that I have been collecting for years? Also, what is the set made of, plastic or resin or ceramic? I love both sets! F&W!!!!

They are ceramic. I will measure them later this evening, I am heading out the door in a few minutes. When I get back, I will get them out :) Check back. So glad you like them.

These are approximate measurements. There are so many pieces with so many different styles and sizes. I had to measure a few and give you an average size for each. The buildings are about 5-51/2 inches tall and about 4-41/2 inches wide. The little carts, snowman ect. are about 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide. The people are about 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide. I hope this helps.

I am the high bidder on Village #1, but if no one outbids me, can I donate it to the winner of this auction? It seems to me the villages should stay together....
Nov 25th, 2013 at 4:09:04 PM PST by
Original
You can do whatever you want with it. That's very nice of you. Just so you know, I cannot ship both villages together. They must be shipped separately because of the size and weight. I am sending them in Priority Flat Rate Large Boxes because it was the cheapest way, with insurance and tracking. I had no way to keep it together and still have reasonable shipping.
