Even one seed once growing will produce many of these eventually... This is the most beautiful and sought after of all the canna lilies... I have had many offers on the two that I got from you.. I wont part with them, it is one of my best finds on this site...

Wow! what a nice endorsement. I thoroughly agree on the exceptional beauty of this plant. I admired one in someone's yard for several years, and it just kept getting bigger, so I figured it HAD to be a perennial, but couldn't find anything about cold-hardy cannas. Then I lucked out and found one on a roadside stand. Three years later, I find out that YES, it can go from "zero to sixty" in one summer even when replanted as late as June. Every time I get close to the leaves, I feel like petting them or something, the colors are so rich and beautiful like velvet, if you can imagine a velvet that's not fuzzy.

I only had four to start, and proceeded to drop two down the heater duct. I hadn't even thought of listing them, when MK asked me if i had any. I listed the two, and said there'd be two more if the bid was tempting enough. Well, the bid was very generous, so I rooted around the dusty, grimey heating duct for a good hour, but only found one. Lotsa crap, one seed. Next year, I'll be more careful!
