Description

The listing, **Beautiful 'Alley Cat Allies' 15 Month Calendar!!** has ended.

"Alley Cat Allies is the only national advocacy organization dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of cats. Our mission is to to end the killing of cats, to promote progressive policies for cats in communities all across America, and to promote humane methods of care for cats."

"Founded in 1990, Alley Cat Allies was the first organization to introduce and advocate for Trap-Neuter-Return and humane methods of care for cats. Today more than 500,000 supporters look to us for leadership in the movement to protect cats as we work toward a world that values the lives of all animals."

They have produced this lovely 15-month calendar, with heart rendering pictures of Cats and their adventures. Pictures are just beautiful. These did not turn out as nicely as I was hoping they would. Great calendar for the love of cats, fellow rescue peer or just for a colorful, enjoyable calendar!!

I sure miss having cats. The peace one feels when holding your cat, stroking its fur and feeling the purr box going off. I rescue large dogs, and have 2 that I've had since they were little (one 5 wks. old). They have made it their mission to keep critters away from my property; thus I don't feel a cat would thrive in my current environment. Darn my boyz sometimes!!

Bless you for doing rescue.....I do Pomeranian rescue and it sometimes takes up to a year for them to be normal again and to accept love...Then I place them for free to "forever homes". I use dodger as my name here....he is my little Pom.

Awww, thank you for doing rescue, too. I've been in rescue for well over half of my life. I specialize in big dogs as many people are so afraid of large dogs. However, I rescue just about any creature that needs help. I also have 2 cockatiels that I rescued and kept as nobody wanted them!! I introduced my son to rescue when he was 11 to teach him humanity. At that time, we specialized in golden retrievers as we've had goldens for 26 years now, and he was most familiar with the breed. All rescues. One horribly abused that they seriously looked at putting down we adopted and he became my "soul mate" with fur. Another, that we have now was from a puppy mill bust. He is handicap; yet he doesn't know it. I just could not subject him to surgery after surgery. I believe in quality of life and he's as happy as can be!! Thanks for reaching out. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!

I also have a handicapped Pom....I found a vet that does accupuncture and she is doing miracles with him....You might want to check around and find one that does it. It reduces the pain and it really works....

Tucker doesn't appear to be in pain. I can usually tell by his eyes and how he looks at me. I have analgesics for him yet strive not to give him meds unless necessary. The acupuncture sounds amazing tho.

I had a Dalmation named Ashes (great name for a fire dog) that I rescued many years ago and her back legs gave out. It took two of us to get the dog out of the car and on to the table...She gave her one acupuncture treatment and I clipped on her leach and she jumped in the car and was as normal as could be. I took her every week for 3 months and every other week for 6 months and gave that sweet baby 4 more years of a good life. I will always miss her.
