this is a gillette tech razor with a ball end handle comes apart into three pieces as the pictures show nickel plating is in good condition for being over 70 years old (circa 1940's) have used this razor myself for a couple of years and it shaves great will be sterilized before shipping
great collectors item or as l do to use

The only gillette razors that have the Letter and number date code n1 etc...are the twist to open or butterfly style. Tech razors are more common and less valuable than the twist to opens, adjustable,fat boy, slim, black handles, speeds, aristocrats,

sounds like you have been reading up on the internet kinda ticked me off that the only comment you feel you should make was to devalue my auction that was really kind of rude you know but it spurred me to look closer to my razor and found a twin to it selling for $42.50 on ebay and it is a 1940's vintage you should really know what you are talking about before commenting

you my friend are amazing ! l have spent untold hours on the internet looking for info on this razor had thought initially that it was 1960 but looked at a web site that made me think 1940's but dating these razors is very very difficult and again bravo my friend will definitely fan back and add you to my list of razor wizards

looking at the bottom piece or guard it has REG.US on the left side and PAT.OFF. ON THE RIGHT SIDE
under and to a little to the left of the reg.us there is a B and under the pat.off. and a little to the right is a 4
to be honest with you had to get my jewelers loop out to see that lol bad eyes l have taken a couple of pictures that show the B AND 4 and l will try and get them on as soon as possible depends on if the system lets me upload pictures

UPDATE !!!! got to thank sewtrini for her comment kinda ticked me off that someone would comment on an auction just to devalue the item so l looked on ebay search gillette tech razor with ball handle come to find out my razor looks like it was made in the 1040's that would make it over 70 years old and also anyone that feels they need to authenticate that feel free to search ebay a twin to mine is selling for $42.50 but there are others on there

My father who has passed away had one that was given to him by his dad my grandfather, although I know my grandfathers was much older then yours, they are great razors and the shave is amazing to say the least. Good luck with your auction and don't worry about what others say.

not to worry as we say just a heckler what amazes me is the razors can be passed down and this razor looks like it was made just recently not 70 years ago makes it kind of hard to date really they are in such great shape
