nice auction do you think this would fit a year old german shepherd he weighs around 80 lbs im used to getting small for my ten pound min pin but my sister just got this new doggy and this would be nice hard to find larges

Yes it might be a little big but if she says a large fits then it will fit it. I have a min poodle but he has gotten fat and weighs over 20 lbs. Last year when he was slimmer he wore it fine. Good luck! I have three more I will be listing very soon.

Connie214 I am confused...you first said to lilbee2966 above that it may be a little big on her 80 pound German shepherd then you went on to say it fit your 20 pound min poodle when he was slimmer..? Will it fit a 50 pound terrier? Please & thanks!

Sorry I didn't see her asking if it would fit her German Shepherd. I thought she was asking if it would fit the min pin. thats why I said it should fit but it won't fit a big dog at all only smaller dogs like miniature dogs. Sorry for the confusion.

lilbee it wil not fit an 80 lb german shepherd. Sorry I got confused I thought you were talking about the smaller dog. I don't think an xl would fit the german shepherd. You would either have to get a pattern and make one or try at pet stores. Sorry

Thanks for your reply...I'm still somewhat confused ..XL does not mean that it would fit a large dog? I've never bought dog clothes before...XL for humans means it fits larger people right? Lol oh well, I appreciate the lesson! Kris

Dog clothes sizes don't go by the weight of the dog but the actual size of the dog, measuring from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. The standard sizes are XXS=8", XS=10", S=12", M=16", L=20", and XL=24". Of course every dog is different so you have to take into consideration the thickness of the neck, belly, etc. Hope this helps!
