They have a somewhat similar taste to these as well but are more tart. Goji Berries have been called a super-food because they are so rich in vitamins and other important nutrients. They berries also played an important role in ancient Chinese medicine, and have long been very popular around the world and have more recently gained great popularity in the US. While these plants grow into fairly large bushes if allowed, you can keep them pruned to a smaller size and grow them conveniently in pots or in hanging baskets to make berry picking much easier. what kind of soil do they grow in? I live where we have sand and I augment it but it still turns to sand. How often do they need to be watered?

As far as soil I would plant them in a pot then. I used organic compost on bottom with a layer of banana peels and used coffee grounds follow by a mix of Peat and Moisture control potting soil. Only water enough to keep it moist. You don't want to over water these. So far I've only been watering mine once ever 3-4 days and they are now like 4 inches tall above the soil.
