OMG u have no idea how much it means to me to see this! My grandmother passed away about 13 years ago and left her jewlery box and jewelry to me. she had this same pendant but with no chain or box and I have been trying to find out what it was for at least 10 years.

This is a beautiful Avon piece from the 1970's. The box I have displayed is not the original box. This is from my mother-in-laws estate and much of it was not in boxes. She passed around 15 years ago and I am just now getting around to going through it. Do you still have the piece? The vanity mirror on the back is a nice blast from the past when women carried compacts on a regular basis to freshen up and whatnot. I'm happy that you found my auction and I hope some good memories!

That's great! I am delighted the mirror is in good condition...this one is as well. I only saw one other on etsy or ebay that the mirror was in poor shape. Too bad you don't have the original chain, it's really nice, double links which you don't see much anymore.
