So the black and yellow knives that I listed would also fall in the same category even though they are small, because they have the same "larger" blade just scaled down to fit the size of the knife. This is one of those times I wish my grandfather was alive so that he could tell me all of these things. I am sure it would make it much easier on people such as yourself who are bidding on the knives. I really appreciate all the help!
Someone asked if the Swiss Army Knife I posted was in fact Swiss or a Chinese knock off, now I know its not Chinese because my grandfather made it, but I am not sure what proves that other than the "Colonial Prov RI" on the inside of the blade.
Well the fact that Colonial is on the tang is proof enough. RI stands for Rhode Island. What more proof would they need? I mean, anyone who knows and collects knives, knows what Colonial RI means. It means Made In New York, U.S.A. Don't worry about it. You're doing just fine brother.
You might want to try posting a pic on each knife auction to show the Colonial Prov R.I. Stamp. That would end any questioning of the validity of your knife auctions. I know you're for real, but there's always THAT ONE PERSON that's going to come along and try to play "Big Shot" or "LISTIA POLICE". There are a few of those kinds on here. I simply block them if they get too rude. I also block them if they just annoy me. LOL. Your call of course. Just have fun with this man. Don't let those people with BIG numbers try to intimidate you. They're just people sitting and tapping their phone keys or typing on their PC just like you and I.
I will try that, thank you. I appreciate the help, I do wonder why the same knives that were bid on last time are not getting any hits this time around, I figured with the more fans more people would see them. Oh Well ya win some ya lose some. Everybody tries to be a telephone/Xbox/internet tough guy lol I am not worried, whats the worst they'll do, tell me they don't like my knives, ouch. I am so new to Listia I have no idea what the numbers mean, I have been in sales for 20 years, I give people what they give, if your nice, im nice, if not well then neither am I. Life is way too short to get caught up in what others think. Thanks again for all the help brother.
Not a problem. As far as not getting bids, just make sure to list for at least 7 days. I always list for 10 days. The longer the better. It's all about circulation and exposure. You want to give everyone a chance to see what you're selling. Also, I've had some of my auctions not get even the starting bid until the last 2 days. Sometimes the last day and then, BAM!! The bids shoot up like crazy. It's just so unpredictable. Good luck!!
You'll get plenty of bids lots of folks hold bids till end so do not tie up credits incase something just pops up you have to have you have great auctions i just wish i could win one every one i bid over 10000 points and loose
