POACHED-EGG PLANT - 15 SEEDS!!
LIMHANTHES DOUGLASII
In the 1820's, while exploring America's East Coast, Scottish botanist David Douglas, discovered this small plant species with its fresh earthy scent and uniquely bold markings and called it Limhanthes (meadowfoam) Duglasii (Douglas) or as he undoubtedly preferred, Douglasii Meadowfoam.
Rewarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit this low growing plant produces a mass of fragrant white flower with perfectly circular lemon-yellow centers which resemble, yes, a...Poached-Egg!
You'll want to plant this moisture loving bloom somewhere where it can get a little shade from the direct sun and heat of the day. It prefers a cool moist area and actually thrives just short of a hard freeze. We all have that one spot that retains water from water fountains, clay or shade from higher plants...Poached Egg Plant would like that spot :)
