This is a brand new, still in box, only opened to take pictures. It is a Kindle Fire HD. The manual is on the kindle once you start it, so to get all the details and functions go to www.amazon.com and look up kindle fire hd. But it has everything!!! And gives you access to everything. The color is black and the touch display screen is 7". What a GREAT Christmas gift this would be!!!

I know for sure its at least a 16GB, can't find the order slip or I would have returned it. It could be 32Gb, but I am not sure, But I do know that its at least 16GB

I still don't have an answer for you, I looked them both up 1st generation and 2nd & they both look the same to me. I purchased this on 4/29/2013 from amazon for my daughter for Christmas & then found out her husband had gotten her one for her birthday a few weeks ago. What it did say is that this model replaces the 2012 edition, if that helps you out at all. I am still going to try and find out for you, I kept the order, receipt and all the paperwork, just have to dig thru ALOT of receipts to find it, but I will try. You are right, thou, their are different boxes on amazon, but when I went to ebay to look both the 1st and 2nd had the same box, and some have different, so I really can't tell. Do you know how to tell them apart? If so, let me know, that would be a big help.
