Description

The listing, Windows 7 Professional 32bit & 64bit OEM Bundle has ended.

This auction is for a Windows 7 Profession 32 bit and a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Installation DVDs provided by a manufacturer as a free upgrade.

These licenses have never been registered and these DVD's have never been installed on a system. I tested similar DVDs to make sure they are fully functional "full" installs and not "upgrade" only.

Although on the tag it says "upgrade fulfillment" on these DVDs, they can be used as full installation disks for Windows 7.

These DVDs do not require a previous version of windows to be installed on the computer and can perform either an upgrade (vista home premium and up only) or a clean "custom" install (Upgrade DVDs cannot do this).

**The DVDs work on any computer that is x86/x64 architecture; they work on any computer not just a Dell.

**The DVDs have no Dell software inside, they are the equivalent of buying a Windows 7 Professional 32/64bit full install (not upgrade) edition at the store.

**This item is NOT a Dell OS restore CD, the License agreement listed in the EULA contained within the CD is the same as the one you buy at the store.

**This is NOT a duplicate made from a DVD burner.

What size RAM/hard drive do you need to be able to install this OS? I installed Vista Ultimate but it just didn't run right on my system and I had to revert back to XP.

For Windows 7 I recommend 2 gigs but itll run fine on 1 gig of ram, just be sure to use RAN thats a t least DDR2 and a speed of 667mhz. As for HD size anything 60gigs and above would be suffice for a plain Windows 7 install, but if your really going for minimal HD size I say a 20gig would probably bearly fit windows 7...after applying all the current updates and basic functionality programs (Java, Adobe flash, ...etc).

The RAM is under 800, hard drive is around 30GB. Vista will run but it is horrible. It's a dell dimension 2400. Not great but good enough for me.
I will probably just put the Vista OS for auction since I can't use it.

If your comp has under 800mb RAM Vista will definitely be slow. Ive heard stories from friends resurrecting older computer with Windows 7. Ive also installed Windows 7 on older computers running XP and have found it runs the same if not slightly more resource intensive. Its worth a shot, itll definitely run better than Vista.

great auction could really use this I paid for windows 7 to be installed in my Dell 1735 from Vista OS and a few weeks ago my HD crashed!! I am now out of about $200 in software upgrades and since I dont have the original disk myself I cant reinstall it..:( I paid this guy for Win 7, AVG until 2013, and Nero 7. Since my HD crashed Im out of those and a few games he installed for me. My moms computer also crashed but we are not sure what is wrong with it its out of warranty. Mine is covered by Dell and is currently at their repair shop. Any suggestions on how we can find out how to see whats wrong with her Desktop its a Compaq Preasrio? Love to win this auction. Question it can only be used on one system right ? Not multiple system like If I wanted to upgrade more than one PC?

Reply to first question: Have you tried running a check disk to see if there is problems with the HD? Did you know microsoft has their own anit virus program? Try checking your computer with this one: http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/
If all esle fails have you thought about using Linux? I recommend Ubuntu, you can try it without installation if you burn their CD iso (Ubuntu.com). If you want more specific help let me know more about the computer like specific model, what exact symptoms does it have...does it boot up at all,..is it crashes beyond being able to go into windows...does it give you any error notifications?

Second Reply: These DVD's can be used on any computer once. Let take the scenario that you install it, register it online, then your comp crashes. If you reinstall it and enter the key itll let you install win 7 entirely, but itll still ask (like in all installs) to register it. If you register it online itll complain and say it cant register you.....at this point use the phone registration...answer that you only have it installed on one comp and itll give you the code to register it.

-hope this helps
