Place seeds into the glass jar.
Cover top of jar with pantyhose, secure with a rubber band. Fill the jar with water 1-2 inches above the seeds. Soak overnight at least 12 hours.
Remove the water by allowing the water to drain through the hose. Do not remove the seeds from jar.
Roll jar around to distribute the seeds. Place the jar on its side in a dark location. A closet or pantry provides a warm, comfortable temperature. Make sure the seeds are spread out. Rinse the seeds and jar everyday with cool water, twice a day if the temperatures are warmer, draining seeds each time. Do this 3-4 days, or till seeds sprout 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Move the jar to sunlight. When sprouts turn green, they are ready to eat. Store them in the refrigerator
