Tofurky?? Hahaha!! Love it! I think I'll make that your Indian name"Tofurky Bones!!" or maybe "Wishbone" for short!! Lol! Not sure what I'm doing for Thanksgiving! Our stove broke (the element caught on fire, Thank God the Tofurky wasn't inside!! Haha!! It just burned out! (My son pulled the plug- we stayed calm!! Never throw water into an electric stove fire!At least I think that's right!). Anyways it just burnt out, but the Turkey I had defrosting, I gave to a friend, she had nothing, and her son and parents are having a family feud, so they aren't coming. I felt bad so I gave her some instant potatoes ,gravy, and all the "fixins" Her stove works. I guess it's liverwurst sandwiches for me! Lol! (Oh! sorry! forgot you are vegetarian!!

lol "great blue face in thundering sky!" today I overslept! I was planning on going to the local bookstore before 6 AM and get in line to get the free $5. gift card and free coffee wheeeeeeee! and then split. I don't do Black Friday but I will take a free gift card! Then later today I will go to a Native American protest! It is in Emeryville CA and it is because a shopping mall was built on a Native American burial site--it is held every year and I usually go to it. It is called by some "the dead mall" and it is a protest that has grown through the years--will see my friends in the Ohlone Tribe who are the Indigenous peoples of the S.F Bay Area. Aho! Also some Miwok people's too. Guess what? I had a Salmon salad yesterday because I don't really celebrate T Day so I was right there with you sister Blue Face! Missed out on the Curried Rice & other veggies darnnit! You did a wonderful thing giving away your turkey too--maybe they will save the wish bone for you and you can wish for a new stove?! better still ask a Shaman -- and I agree with you that the earring looks more Zuni! love to you

Ty Buster!! I wish I could join the protest!! But it's 3000 miles away!! Lol!! I certainly would if I could!! I've been quite vocal about leaving sacred tribal lands alone!! (And returning them back the way they were! One burial ground has a Golf course on it!! It's disrespectful!! I tell non-Natives, how would you like a Golf course or Mall or parking lot or High rise on top of where your parents and grandparents are buried? And then they get it! I met a Miwok lady here , she was working on saving the tribal Fishing lands out there, she's been quite successful at keeping the Ocean waters clear of polluters and people who want to build oil rigs ,ect on Tribal fishing grounds. So she was here at the Mashantucket-Pequot Museum talking about her book on the subject, because The Mass/CT/RI area have been starting construction on windmills that will go out into the waterways here, she says will cause big trouble for sealife. Especially Whales, Dolphins ad large fish, potentially could interfere with their regular routes they have traveled for thousands of years! But also for the local tribes who hardly even have a say in what goes on here. It was fascinating and I did write to my Congresspeople, and contacted local newspapers to find out more, before building these windmills(I know they want them to eliminate oil as a source of electricity, but I think they need to hear her thoughts first.. Now the Ohlone, I don't know much about, although I did know the Tribal area is most of SF Bay. It is beautiful!
