This auction is for a small ring with looks to be a genuine sapphire stone in a gold tone ring. It is a size 6.

It is from my aunt's estate and I have not take it to a jeweler to verify the stone or setting. My ignorance could be your fortune.

I don't know. I am going to say "no" just to be safe.

I am in the process of clearing out my aunt's estate. She had many beautiful pieces. I have not take these pieces to a jeweler due to the cost of appraisal fees. So, my ignorance could be your good fortune.

IF it has markings on the inside of the ring that say 14 k, 12 k , and so on it is real
