Description

The listing, UNC 1970-S Lincoln Penny one Cent Coin Error - Floating Roof - Free Shipping has ended.

1970-S Floating Roof Error, in UNC condition although there is a tiny green copper corrosion mark on the base of Lincoln's clothes.

It maybe hard to tell from the photo but in reality the top section of the roof of this coin is completely unattached to the third tier of the roof. So there is no second tier of the roof, it's bordering lines are missing.

What I can tell from E-Bay is this is worth about $5. To be fair though the 1970-S I checked in the collection that is about to finish, is also a floating roof variety, so maybe they are all that way...

Free US and International shipping.

Hi. That was made from cardboard. It was for Jefferson Nickels. Is that what you were talking about? I actually won a lot with 20 plastic sleeves. I don't need all of them, you want me to list some?

This is neat, first time seeing this error.. if you don't need all of those sleeves, you should list them. Could turn out to do real good.. I personally would bid on them. :)

I hope so, but I just had had someone tell me he checked a bunch of 1970 pennies and half were broken roofs, one even had just one side broken which might be the really scarce one. So you should probably bid on it's value as an "S" coin rather than an error (it looks like, sorry to say).

Geez maybe I should have known about the scarcity level for real before Tim bid so high, yikes, I hope Tim forgives me.

Aw man, well, that's okay. My husband is a coin fanatic, and he will be happy regardless, assuming I win. I give you major props though on the credits you will win!
