Not sure. I don't know how the 3ds compares in size to the XL. I know the others are smaller so they fit. As long as it is not bigger it should fit.

so you are sure this will hold an xl.(extra large Ds)? the only reason I ask is that last time I got one off of here someone told me it fit an xl, and it didn't fit. it was a regular Ds case. thanks, great auction!

Yes. This case is specifically made for the Dsi xl. My kids have dsi xl but used a larger case that carried all their games chargers etc
