Thank you ;) Instead of spending money on ourselves this Christmas we are blessing families with food and gifts, raising points to buy ourselves something modest was our first goal, but we ended up getting toys to give to charities, and decided to make each other presents instead. My husband will be cooking Christmas dinner, and we will be going out on Christmas day. Of course our kids will get a present, but Christmas is not about buying stuff and over consumerism but about blessings others, with time, compliments, necessities.

You are very wise. My daughters and I believe the same. They are 24, 22 and 19 now but learned that many years ago. Of course they love to receive Christmas presents but much more enjoy being together with family and spending true quality time together. We are very low income now but we have lead very blessed and wonderful lives. They realize that there are far more valuable things in this world than material things. I'm so very blessed to have three such amazing daughters. That is far more valuable and precious to me than any amount of money or anything you can purchase. It's so sad that more people have missed out on the truly special things life had to offer. It is do great to meet someone else who recognizes the same things in life as I do. And you're absolutely right Christmas has become way, way to much about about what you can buy and what you get. Personally it makes me sad and kinda sick. Bless you and your family. You have something amazing that money can never buy.

Oh my goodness. I'd love to see a picture of the area you live in. I've never seem enough snow to have to wear snowshoes. Bless your heart.
