Offered is another 1 3/8" by 2 5/8" trade card for the earlier days of tobacco card giveaways and promotions.It is card number 47 in a series of 50 RAILWAY ENGINES issued by Will's Cigarettes, Imperial Tobacco Co. of Great Britain and Ireland.
This is of a railway Streamlined Locomotive "Commodore Vanderbilt" serving New York and Chicago in a 16.5 hour run of 960 miles.
At its time as part of the New York Central Lines it achieved speeds of 70 to 90 miles per hour. The streamlined look air resistance was reduced by approx. 30 percent.
This card is in nice condition as shown.
