Neck is straight ..will post a picture later .. the extra $5.00 is to help pay for material (bubble rap/tape) ect . The guitar boxes were $3.00 each used ... tired of losing $$ on shipping stuff out ..

Your serial number is in that "Drive you nuts" area. I was trying to figure out what it stood for as the # is 9 digits and I noticed mine has 12 (An LPJ made in Indonesia). Yours is stamped on the neck plate and didn't have a letter starting it, like mine even though mine is on the head. I see some of the plated and headstock numbers with a letter to start it and some without. Not that any of this is confusing mind you (quietly smh while rocking back and forth). That is TOTALLY NOT a knock on your guitar. Epiphone owners the world over have been "driven nuts" with the multitudes of systems they have incorporated into their serial (killer???)system. I've got three tabs open at the moment and many closed, with absolutely no consensus yet. This is more about me that your guitar now anyhow. I swear I don't have OCD, but trying to solve Gibson's Mensa test will keep me busy for a while. It does seem that it was #228 in the production run though. Annoyingly, none of this means anything, I just found myself curious about the different # of #'s. I foolishly opened Pandora's box.
On another note, shipping to my neck of the woods is dead on for the weight and size. I think it's perfectly fair that he's asking for shipping and a touch of handling, it's not like the folks who are asking $3 for a few guitar picks or $36-$38 for some cruddy $13 plywood guitar that the dirtbags who are getting free shipping. JMHO. Budseattle has always been fair with me and has been a wealth of knowledge for anyone who's asked for help.
I hope when I have as many trades as he does, I have as good a rating. Just putting that out there.

Shipping guitars commonly runs between 35 and 65 dollars in the lower 48, depending on the distance between the two places. 40 even would be a good average, since there is also boxing and bubble wrap, tape, and address labels involved. People that don't ship guitars on a regular basis don't understand. I don't know why everyone expects free shipping. That's an out of pocket cost the seller must pay, why would you expect them to pay it for you? That's crazy. Then you want low GIN prices too. Everybody wants something for nothing, I suppose. Bud, email me, maybe we can do some straight up business.

You get my point, shipping isn't free for a 10-15 pound delivery. I ship free, but nothing has ever been more that 7 stamps for me. If it cost me 40 bucks to ship something, I'd have to ask for that back, Especially if you're talking about a guitar that I can't find a bad review for. This wasn't meant to give you a hard time freeme2013, just calling it as I see it. I'll be fanning you in just a minute.

so even if it ends up costing less to ship the two together, you wont offer a discount on shipping? (just wondering) bummer, guess i'll only try to win one of them, now to decide which one! would you recommend one over the other for a rookie (playing just about a year now)? thanks
Nov 29th, 2013 at 9:08:41 PM PST by
Original
Ohh ok .. if it cost less to ship together ... yes I will be willing to ship at what ever it would be for exact shipping of the two guitars together plus the cost of the material to ship them .. they are both great axes .. listen to the videos and pick the one that sounds the best to you .. I have a First Act Les Paul round top that I love to play .. that's why this one is on auction .. don't need two of the them..

Great auction budseattle!!! I just picked up a cable at a local music shop for less than 9 bucks neph. Being a little mom and pop store, he skipped the tax. I still gave him a ten and called it even. He even offered me one that had a 90* on one end, which I was actually looking for, but being an honest guy, he told me they were the cheapie cables that come from the guitar manufacturers but wouldn't suggest them or even ask any money from them. You just don't see that kind of behavior from the big boxes, ya know?
