You are bidding on a cutting of my Stapelia Gigantea, called 'Starfish Flower". The plant itself is a trailing green succulent, but , OH, WHAT FLOWERS! Fabulous 8-inch star-shaped fuzzy maroon blooms that smell absolutely awful, to attract flies as pollinators. 2 4-inch fresh cuttings. Easy to grow.

So I guess they aren't planted by your front door. is it something you have to put your nose to smell it? Its for my boss who loves cactus and isn't outside much. as long as it looks pretty. Just didn't want her to walk out and get smacked in the face with an awful smell. (HaHa) I know not funny. Also how long dose it bloom?

You have to get pretty close to smell them---and they bloom in the fall. The flowers only last a few days, but they bloom in succession, so it's a nice display.

I live in Memphis, winter is very cold and dry summer is very hot and humid... Will it survive here?
