The listing, ADORABLE NICNAC! Estate Sale Find has ended.

I found this awesome little replica of baby shoes (moccasins?) at an estate sale, but I really don't know how old it is. I don't know what the material is, either, but it's heavy. It's like a hard resin material.
The detail is wonderful, and it's real strings laced through the eyelets!
Measurements are approximately 3" x 3"

Years ago, they had a service where you could send in your baby's first shoes to preserve them.It wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't what was done.So, they are probably real shoes underneath. I'm sure this was so sweet that it brought tears to the mother's heart whenever she looked at them. These type of finds are true treasures of the heart.

Yes, the baby shoes were usually coated with silver or brass, I believe. I don't think these were ever actual shoes, though. I may be wrong.

If you google Keypoint collectibles it appears that this company makes replicas of old time stuff,not antique but made to look like,Very nice item and is collectible.
