Description

The listing, Vintage Mckoy Clipper Ship Pitcher has ended.

Up for auction is this very nice Clipper Ship Pitcher by McKoy. I have had it for 11 years and paid 35 dollars at the time - only so reasonable because it did not come with the plate that sits underneath. I do not know a lot about McKoy except for what I've googled. You can also google this piece to ascertain the value for yourself. Highly collectible and a beautiful, pristine piece for the Clipper Ship collector. Approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Approximate measurements. Will be carefully packaged and shipped to arrive safely to you. All Listia rules apply to my auctions and please, do not bid if you cannot pay shipping by PAYPAL or MO only. No refund of credits and no buyers remorse on a vintage piece like this, please! If you love Clipper Ships like I do and the color green, this piece is for you!!!

Kathie, the 'mail lady' here at the terminal is out today so I'll have to weigh it tomorrow. If you GIN I'll pay 1/2 of whatever it is. Just sayin'. My zip is 28479 and the weight I dunno but will find out this afternoon after work. Not sure which box I'll use but certainly no bigger than 10x10 I would imagine. This is my first 'exact shipping' and I should have been more prepared to do this: for that I apologize....

My brain is fried, I see there's only one day left so I'll get the weight this afternoon and can give an estimate of weight with box and wrapping...... Look for the answer at about 4:30 EST this afternoon!!! Monday....

I am guessing this will fit in the large size priority box wrapped and cushioned with shredded news paper it should cost approx 12.85 to most zip codes.

*****UPDATE***** I asked a person at the Mailboxes, ETC and she said a conservative guess would be about 14-17 dollars to ship as FRAGILE (double the usual fragile because this is ceramic/glass/fosmite (?) and a vintage piece. So, I can charge 16 via PayPal and either refund the difference if less or just pick up the difference if it costs more. That seems fair to me...... She figured it on going to California from North Carolina to be conservative...... I do not want this piece to get broken in transit so I'd rather ship it as (very) fragile rather than just "fragile" as she suggested.

Of course if there's a GIN, I'll pay half of the cost.... Trouble with computer and have no -good- scale with which to weigh this piece but as per the above statement I think I'm doing the right thing to ship it this way, really, in order not to take a change on breakage....

No way on the priority box with shredded newspaper...... It'll get dropped kicked and that'll be the end of it. Cannot ship that way....

I have mailed many items with shredded paper and have never had a complaint of an item being received broken. And as far as Mailboxes ect. They will charge more than the post office because of their overhead. Packaged properly in a large priority box being there is no bowl should be no problem and they will also mark it fragile or very fragile if you will. Not that makes a difference once it leaves the facility.
