This is a lot of 4 coins from the Republic of Portugesa:

1. 1988 20 escudos- silver in color (copper/ nickel), good circulated condition. A coat of arms with nine edges around the rim. The reverse side has a compass.

2. 1969 2$50 escudos- silver in color, fair circulated condition. Many people called the 2$50 coins dois e quinhentos (two and five-hundreds), referring to the correspondence 2$50 = 2500 reis.

3. 1996 1 escudo- gold in color (nickel/ brass), good circulated condition. There is a coat of arms of Portugal. The reverse side has a stained glass window.

4. 1992 100 escudos- bicolor (aluminum/ bronze center, copper/ nickel ring), fair circulated condition. A shield is above the value, seven castle towers on it, surrounding a cross made of five shields, each having five dots on it. A collared figure of Pedro Nunes stands left, holding globe, five reeded and five plain sections on edge.

These coins were removed from circulation in 2002 with the introduction of the euro. They will increase in value. A great investment for now or the future!
