I looked at the metal stamp attached to the chain and it's stamped Avon and on other side it is stamped OS not sure what OS means sorry.Not sterling silver
FYI...OS means OVERLAYED STERLING ....which means it is several layers of sterling on top of each other, but the base metal is something else. They do that to give the sterling more durability and so that it does not wear off so easily. These types of chains usually retain their sterling silver "look" for a long time. Hope this helps.
