They are fairly small in size, I want to say roughly the same size as a large seed bead.

To the best of my knowledge they are but seeing as it was my partner that got them for me I'm not 100% sure and there is no tag.

are the holes tiny or are they a fair size for beading

These beads are approximately the size of a medium to large seed bead, the hole is probably just big enough to get your stringing material thru with maybe just a tiny tad bit of room left.
