How does it get attached when in use? Does it have to be in a certain position on the body, to work properly? The reason I´m asking is because I had one pedometer that would not work unless it was attached to the waist perfectly horizontal, which was not possible really.

This is the pedometer that you get with the Curves program. It attaches to a pants pocket, waistband or sock. I always put it on my sock. That way it didn't fall off when I went to the bathroom.
