Here's a great heirloom melon variety from Russia! I just received these seeds from a source in the Ukraine, who says that all of her seeds are organically grown heirlooms (non-hybrid).
I couldn't resist this one (it reminds me of the huge juicy melons we had when I was living in Afghanistan as a child) -- "The fruits are oval, weighing 2-3kg (4 1/2 - 6 1/2 lbs) sometimes up to 4kg (almost 9 lbs), with a large pronounced netting on the skin. The pulp is white, sweet, juicy and very flavorful."
Early variety. Growing season from germination to maturity 70-80 days. The melons keep well.
