Yes the battery can be found at any electronics store its very common,I will send the old battery with the camera the shop told me it was shorted out ,so I bought a new cam

This type of bateries are little bit expensive, I think a bit more than $25.00 and they dont last very long, so it is recommended to have at least two of them with you, if not you will run out of charge on the battery....and no more pics....!!!!
I have the same cam and for that reason i bougth another with regular AA batt.
