Barnaby is a 2x2 ribbed scarf with pockets at the ends to keep your hands warm, or possibly to carry things. (Scarf + glove + pocket = sclocket.)

The large pockets are extra warm because of the ribbing, and can double up as a hat with pointed ears in a pinch.

My sclocket was knit flat and is 20 cm or 8 inches wide when the ribbing is relaxed. It’s about 7 ft long, or 217 cm. (I have long arms and can wrap Barnaby once around my neck and comfortably use the pockets.) I used seven 50g skeins of Tivoli Blizzard; each skein is 110 yards. This yarn knits up as aran weight.
