This makes the very best candied popcorn of all. Our family just loves it. I don't know where this recipe originated. I got it from an older cookbook of my mother's. It is indeed a copy cat of Poppycorn or it is the same exact recipe. We like to undercook it just a bit to get a softer, caramel corn. It is utterly delicious and VERY habit forming! Wonderful for the upcoming holidays; and makes a spectacular gift! You can make it with or with out the nuts.
