do these actually show the length of string you need and how to do each character?the last thing like this i got from here just showed the pictures but did not show how to do it

Amy381, yes it tells you how much cording you need and even how many of which color pony beads you'll need for each one. There are also basic instruction on the front inside cover on how to do them as well.
