Description

The listing, Incredibly Strong Doubling on a Gem BU 1943D Lincoln Cent *with beautiful toning* has ended.

This coin may be worth a few bucks. First thing I noticed was the amazing toning on this coin, then upon further inspection with a 30x loop I realized that this coin has extremely strong doubling on the mint mark as you can easily see in my close ups. I had to post some colorless pics to show it best because this coin is so shiny. Awesome iridescent toning on the obverse. The main detracting detail on the coin is the 3 in the date. It has been either damaged during the machine process or been dinged up pretty good in the bag. It's very hard to tell if it's a mint error or a bag mark.
I would say this one is absolutely worthy of certification and it would be greatly appreciated by me if the winner does send it in if they share the results with me. I wouldn't mind either if the winner does decide to send it in if they waited to leave me feedback until it came back, which could take up to a month depending on what service they used.

*Free safe & secure shipping with tracking But PLEASE be patient, I can no longer go to the post office every single day. I promise it will go out with in 3 days of the end of the auction and I will send a tracking number as soon as I have one.
Please take a real good look at the pics I took and share your thoughts and comments. ~PLEASE~ no ignorant, rood or negative comments.... Nobody cares to read them. :) Thanks

Thanks for looking.

A little side note. I have several of these from the same roll. I don't own a Cherry Pickers Guide, but if anyone does I would really appreciate it if they would see if this might be listed as an error in it. The others I have are in even better condition and I'm wondering if this is a cataloged variety or error. I can't find it on the net but if I have 4 or 5 of these then that means someone else out there probably does too. Just curious if it's listed, thanks.

1943D, Boldly Doubled Mintmark (F-$12, VF-$15, EF-$40, AU-$60, MS63-$100, MS65-$250), however the price for me listing this is $200 lol, nice coin

is there a picture of the error in your book that you can deffinately atribute this coin to or is it just a list of prices.?

by looking at the pcitures and this is a complete guesstimate, I would say this is between EF and MS63

It's really hard to get a good shot of these with the flash bbecause they are very shiny. I have listed several of the mint state 43's I have on here. They are deffinately mint state, its just hard to get a good shot. I don't know if this one would quite make it to ms63 but it's close. deffinately not ef and not even au. these are the real deal. there is hazing and toning but they have never circulated.

The picture shows a pic of one but the D's are reversed compared to this pic. If I win I will send it off and let you know the results. Do you have anymore of those roswell coins? I bid high before I went to bed and thought it would be enough :(

I don't have one now but I'm working on getting a couple dozen so I'll let you know either way. If I can get them I'll send you a private message. If your interested maybe we can get a better deal if we buy a larger quantity. I'll look into it.

***Just wanted to put this out there for EVERYBODY who checks out my auctions***
I have a couple of cases of brand spankin new coin collecting books on the way. All you great folks that send me private messages everyday asking great questions about coins and coin collecting please take note. I will be listing these books here free on listia. The average price in the store would be $10 - $25 each so be sure to keep checking back to see what I have listed. I will be listing copies of "The Official 2010 Blue Book" and "The Official A.N.A. Grading Standards for United States Coins" Both books are a wealth of information for both the seasoned collector and the new folks just getting started. The grading guide has more info than you can imagine and a MUST HAVE for any collector. The Blue Book is a guide to Wholesale prices(what you can expect to get paid for your coins from a coin shop or on feebay...) Very Valuable books to collectors here for you free from me :)
Good luck folks and thanks for all the bids friends.

I am very excited about your future auctions, just by your advertising. Let me know if you find a copper 1943. lol. They supposedly made less than 1000 on accident and they are very valuable. I always pay attention but still have yet to find.
