I have a nook color they are like tablets. you buy apps for the Barnes&Nobel store that's built in. only way to get Google play is to buy a special Sd card for this. N2A cards. (nook2android) hope this helps

The newest Nook HD can get apps, this model Nook cannot. The Nook Color Tab was the only one from this gen that got apps, however they were limited to only those released by Barnes & Noble. You can google them. However this is a great eReader!!

the back looks like its been either spun or slid across a table or counter top on the back- but its got the soft back-- but it doesnt look bad at all ill try to post a pic of the back

Is the charger port OK on it? I keep hearing that the charger ports break/mess up easily on the Nook Color.

You get apps thru barns and noble I think. I can't remember it's been so long since I had anything to do on it.

It's a silver e-reader but does have complete tablet capabilities- and i think it's a micro USB- I used to plug it in to my old camera charger and it wouldn't say charging but it does charge normal battery life is a few days
