i call this kaki but don't know if it is, the outside is a smooth material. this purse has a place to put everything (just about:) as you can see from the pictures you have a place to put things in the front, sides & back besides the inside which has a zipper pocket. it's clean inside & out. took pictures of front, back, & 2 inside. happy bidding
