The listing, Authentic 1976 $2 bill has ended.

$2 bill from 1976. Unsure of the value in today's dollars. Please do not ask me to lower the days. Free shipping. I will do my best to send it (in an envelop for sure) no later than three days after the winner provides the information for shipping. Local pickup will be at a TBD time at Buffalo Wild Wings.

This $2 Bill is Authentic. I work in retail for customer service and use a counterfeit detector almost every time I come into work. I was unsure if this was real, so I used the marker on it (the paw prints confused me too, so dont ask) and the currency 'passed the test' or so says the marker. I have a couple more of these, so I thought I'd spread the wealth, or so they say.

I am very lenient when it comes to comments. I strongly dislike having to block people, and only do so if it is absolutely necessary. I've only blocked 1 person and 1 comment in my entire 2 years on listia, but I am not hesitant to block anyone if they are rude. I typically respond quickly to questions/comments if it's relevant. If there are any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask.

(To Listia: I don't think this currency is still in circulation so I assumed it was okay to list it. If not, let me know and I will remove it as soon as possible.)

I work at a bank, and no it cant be found at most banks as most banks either shred older bills or clients simply dont bring in rare $ like they used to. Althought it doesnt have added value a collector would appreciate it to completea collection, therefore its worth something more simply for the love of collecting. yeah... shame on them. I'm more embarrassed to be a Michigan State fan after the shenanigans that happened after the Big Ten Championship up in East Lansing. People are stupid...

With the bank thing, I typically agree with whoever comments if it is their opinion. Sure, I may have a different opinion, but it is nice to hear what other people think and hear their side of it. Sometimes being humble is just the thing the world needs. Gotta get along. :D
Some banks have them I guess. I hear different things from a lot of different people. I do know that about a half million were printed in the 2009 series and went to banks, which is lower than the amount in 2006, which was lower than the amount in 2003, and so on. I work in retail and we received a pamphlet on how to check the new 100's to know if it is fake. It showed the current new bills from $5 on up, and it said in parenthesis 1's and 2's will continue to be printed, but will not be redesigned at this time. So YES, 2 dollar bills are still in circulation, but it is just one of those things that people envy for some reason due to its rarity.

2 dollar bills are still made, bankers don't tend to order for the vault since no one ask for them. what I've always found odd is many people are superstitious about $2 either believing they are good luck or wanting to get rid of them quickly because they are bad luck. to me , eh, it's money. lol

superstitions? i say bah humbug to that. 2 dollar bills are no different than 1 dollar bills or even silver dollar coins. They are also no luckier than a 4 leaf clover and no unluckier than a black cat.

the paw prints look like for a school. but here in south Carolina we have a strip club that only uses the $2 bills instead of ones. I used to work at Chickfila and had 2 strippers come through every Saturday morning and pay with $2 bills so I asked and the one girl said that's what people tipped in
