The listing, Tolkien LORD OF THE RINGS Rare Unauthorized ACE Hobbit has ended.

This was the infamous Lord of the Rings books released in the 60's by ACE books. They were the first paperback editions in the US and were released without Tolkien's permission. Sometimes referred to as the "bootleg editions". This is the complete set, it is in fair to good condition. Complete pages and solid spines, would make for good reading editions. Various wear and price tags on back. Free shipping. Rare set to have, personally I love the cover art.

I'll be bidding but waiting since have to get him something, I can get before rather then after christmas and i have a few credits set aside for this one too ... I rarely do the 10 days unless no deadlines... especially this month as folks will get in the frenzy to get in time for christmas and bid higher faster right now to get things in the mail. That close to not being able to deliver in time, you will loose a lot of bidders who like me will get something else and not have decent credits when the books come up for final bids.
been getting excellent credits for "earrings" on 3 day bids because I can get them there before Christmas that way. no guarantees after next Mondays mail and then that ship date is risky. Just so you know since you are new to this.
